Who is excited about WordCamp US this year? I sure am! After just returning from CaboPress (you can read why I recommend CaboPress to WordPress business owners), I’m excited to see how my new friends tans have regressed from Cabo and also meet new WordPress friends. My goal for WordCamp US is to hear stories of the great businesses that are being built on WordPress, learn from the Philly planning team as the next WordCamp US is in my backyard in Nashville next year, and tell others about my new product, Kurate.it which allows users to send emails from WordPress. If you are interested in talking emails in WordPress, please come find me!
I will be attending Post Status Publish on Thursday which means that I need to be in on Wednesday. My roommate for the week is Sam Brodie, of Offsprout. I met Sam about a year and a half ago and we are both in a WordPress Mastermind group together. Sam and I both love craft beer so we are going to be killing time Wednesday afternoon by hitting up a few breweries and famous beer bars.
We are both arriving around 1 on Wednesday so after getting checked in will be ready to explore around 2.
Below is our itinerary for Wednesday:
- Check into hotel
- 2-230: Cheesesteak at Cleavers
- 3-5: Belgian Beer at Monks: Monks is small, but they boast one of the finest selections of Belgian beers on draft in the world. I’ve also heard their burger is to die for.
- 530-6: Back to hotel around 6 to meet up with folks for dinner. Right now, we are thinking about Khyber Pass for dinner
Other breweries we may visit during our time can be found on the Visit Philly craft beer trail. Also, thanks to the WordCamp US planning team for creating a great Philly eating guide.
